About Gratuity Calculator UAE

A free, independent resource that helps UAE employees estimate their End of Service Benefits clearly and privately.

ℹ️Gratuity Calculator UAE is an independent website. We are not affiliated with MOHRE or any UAE government authority, and we do not provide legal or financial advice.

Our purpose

Calculating UAE end of service gratuity can be confusing. Rules changed in recent years, allowances are often mistakenly included, and outdated resignation-reduction formulas still circulate online. We built this tool to give employees a fast, transparent and accurate estimate based on the current UAE Labour Law formula.

Who the calculator is for

  • Private-sector employees planning a resignation or facing termination.
  • Workers who want to verify an amount offered by an employer.
  • HR professionals who need a quick reference estimate.
  • Anyone researching how UAE gratuity works.

Editorial policy

Our content is written to be helpful, accurate and people-first. We explain the reasoning behind each figure, avoid jargon where possible, and clearly separate factual rules from general guidance. We do not publish thin or misleading content, and we do not exaggerate claims to attract clicks.

Source policy

Our calculator logic reflects the publicly understood current UAE Labour Law gratuity formula: 21 days of basic wage per year for the first five years, 30 days per year thereafter, calculated on basic salary and capped at two years' basic wage. Where rules differ — such as in certain free zones — we say so. We encourage every user to confirm figures with official UAE government sources or a qualified advisor.

Review and update process

We review the calculator and supporting content periodically against the latest publicly available guidance, and we display a "last reviewed" date for transparency. If labour law guidance changes in a way that affects the formula, we update the tool and the explanation accordingly.
